
Dress Code
All dancers are required to adhere to the Dress Code.
The Dress Code is in place to ensure safety of dancers and freedom of movement.

For all classes, hair should be secured up and away from the face.

No dangly jewelry such as long or hoop earrings, necklaces, bracelets, etc. Stud earrings are permitted.
Movement Essentials: Dancers should wear comfortable clothing they can easily move in. Leotards, tights, dance skirts or shorts, leggings, t-shirts, tank tops or other athletic or play style clothing is appropriate. Please no jeans or clothing that restricts movement. If a skirt is worn, please ensure that dancer is also wearing shorts or leggings underneath.
Shoes: Dancers are required to wear Weissman Butterfly Leather Full-Sole Ballet Shoes in the shade that most closely matches their skin tone.
Modern: Dancers should wear clothing that allows for freedom of movement and the ability to see the body. Dancers may wear leotards, tights, dance or athletic shorts/skirts, leggings, studio pants, bike shorts, crop tops, sports bras, athletic style tops, t shirts, turtlenecks, etc. Please no jeans or street clothing that restricts movement. Socks and warm up layers may be worn at the beginning of class.
Shoes: Dancers are required to dance in bare feet.
Ballet: Dancers should wear clothing that allows for freedom of movement and the ability to see the body. A leotard of any color and tights that most closely match the dancer’s skin tone are highly recommended. Dancers may also wear dance or athletic shorts/skirts, leggings, studio pants, bike shorts, crop tops, sports bras, athletic style top, etc. Please no t-shirts or baggy layers as alignment is a main focus in ballet – we must be able to easily see the body. No jeans or clothing that restricts movement.
Shoes: Dancers are required to wear Weissman Canvas Split-Sole Ballet Shoes in the shade that most closely matches their skin tone. Ballet Elastics should be sewn for a proper fit - not tied!

Tap: Dancers should wear clothing that allows for freedom of movement and the ability to see the body. Dancers may wear leotards, tights, dance or athletic shorts/skirts, leggings, studio pants, bike shorts, crop tops, sports bras, athletic style tops, t shirts, turtlenecks, etc. Please no jeans or street clothing that restricts movement. Warm up layers may be worn at the beginning of class.
Shoes: Dancers are required to wear Black Weissman Lace-Up Tap Shoes.

Jazz: Dancers should wear clothing that allows for freedom of movement and the ability to see the body. Dancers may wear leotards, tights, dance or athletic shorts/skirts, leggings, studio pants, bike shorts, crop tops, sports bras, athletic style tops, t shirts, turtlenecks, etc. Please no jeans or street clothing that restricts movement. Warm up layers may be worn at the beginning of class.

Lyrical: Dancers should wear clothing that allows for freedom of movement and the ability to see the body. Dancers may wear leotards, tights, dance or athletic shorts/skirts, leggings, studio pants, bike shorts, crop tops, sports bras, athletic style tops, t shirts, turtlenecks, etc. Please no jeans or street clothing that restricts movement. Warm up layers may be worn at the beginning of class.

AcroDance: Dancers should wear clothing that allows for freedom of movement and the ability to see the body. Dancers may wear leotards, tights, dance or athletic shorts/skirts, leggings, studio pants, bike shorts, crop tops, sports bras, athletic style tops, t shirts, turtlenecks, etc. Please no jeans or street clothing that restricts movement. Warm up layers may be worn at the beginning of class.
Shoes: Dancers are required to have bare feet.

Hip Hop: Dancers should wear clothing that allows for freedom of movement and the ability to see the body. Dancers may wear leotards, tights, dance or athletic shorts/skirts, leggings, studio pants, bike shorts, crop tops, sports bras, athletic style tops, t shirts, turtlenecks, etc. Please no jeans or street clothing that restricts movement. Warm up layers may be worn at the beginning of class.
Shoes: Dancers are required to wear Black Weissman Canvas Low-Top Sneakers.

Pre/Company/Edge: Company dancers should wear clothing that allows for freedom of movement and the ability to see the body. Dancers may wear leotards, tights, dance or athletic shorts/skirts, leggings, studio pants, bike shorts, crop tops, sports bras, athletic style tops, t shirts, turtlenecks, etc. Please no jeans or street clothing that restricts movement. Socks and warm up layers may be worn at the beginning of class. Specific shoes for each routine and class will be assigned at the beginning of the season.
