Recreational Classes
Technique classes are leveled with both age and skill level in mind.
All level placements are at the discretion of Artistic Director.
Tech Levels
Tech 1: Ages 7-9 Beginner/Intermediate
Tech 2: Ages 10-12 Beginner/Intermediate
Tech 3: Ages 13+ Intermediate/Advanced

Movement Essentials: Ages 3-4
Pre-Tech Combo Ages 5-6

Movement Essentials
Movement Essentials classes are designed for students ages 3-4. These classes explore coordination, body awareness, creativity, musicality, social skills, and fundamentals of Modern and Ballet styles of dance.

Modern
Modern dance explores freedom of movement in relation to time, space, and energy. Students will engage in movement practice that focuses on body awareness, control, placement, artistry, creativity, and collaboration.

Tap
Tap dance explores rhythm, sound, and technique through percussive movements of the feet. Students will engage in movement practice that focuses on rhythmic patterns, musicality, dynamics, combinations and progressions, and technical skills.

Lyrical
Lyrical dance explores the skills, and vocabulary through a hybrid embodiment of Ballet and Jazz styles. Students will engage in movement that focuses on movement expression, coordination, flexibility, dynamics, and technical skill. *Spring Only

Pre - Tech Combo
Pre-Tech Combo classes are designed for students ages 5-6. These classes explore coordination, body awareness, creativity, musicality, social skills, and fundamentals of Modern, Ballet, and Tap styles of dance. Dancers will perform both a Ballet and Tap routine.

Ballet
Ballet explores the vocabulary and technique rooted in Classical Ballet - interwoven with Modern dance influence. Students will engage in movement practice that focuses on alignment, body positions, and combinations of technical movements.

Jazz
Jazz dance explores the skills, vocabulary, and various sub-styles within the realm of Jazz dance. Students will engage in movement practice that focuses on musicality, coordination, flexibility, performance, and technical skill.

Hip Hop
Hip Hop explores the skills, vocabulary, and various sub-styles of Street and Hip Hop culture, music, and dance. Students will engage in movement practice that focuses on musicality, rhythm, coordination, bodily isolations, and performance.
